Showcase Overview
Trace Robinson was contracted on behalf of Lynn Montgomery and Richard Kriegler to re-landscape their home. This included updating their entry fountain to resemble a French park, installing a vegetable garden, a cutting garden, and establishing a children's playhouse garden. It also included formalizing their existing garden, revitalizing the skeleton of the garden, up-scaling lawns, etc.
Trace Robinson was responsible for beautifying the grounds and floral beds. To do this, the plant selection of the entire property was centralized with continuity: new bedding plants were selected, all containers were updated, and all roses and hedges were revitalized.
Cover property. 1920's home was refurbished and required an updated garden to reflect the Mediterranean styling of the house. Design areas included the pool, herb garden, rose garden, and citrus orchard.
The Alisal Ranch hired Trace Robinson to update a 50-year-old landscape with a simple California ranch style. The challenge was picking plants to fit the environment, where Trace Robinson had to factor in the extreme climate of the Santa Ynez Valley, yet give guests a seasonal feel. The overall project took five years to complete.
8 Acre property landscaped into different divisions, each division with a separate theme. The themes included a stone terraces rose & flower garden, creek side cottage in an English style, an oak woodland shade garden, and tropical area. The various divisions were connected in a park-like setting with pathways. Mature trees and exotic plants were imported from around the world to meet the theming requirements of the home.
Trace Robinson was contracted by a painter who wanted their home re-landscaped in search of floral subjects. Trace designed and developed the property's entire landscape, using seasonal trees and plants to portray a sense of time. The Lothlorian property is now regarded as a community treasure, frequented by professional photographers and painters.
Trace Robinson's home has been the focus of many local articles for her beautiful landscaping. The "Montecito Garden" gallery is a collection of photos that have been taken of Trace's home over the years, which is perched among the mountains of Montecito.
